• The heating and cooling of our customer service centre in Freiburg is effected entirely through a geothermal groundwater facility. The data centre as well is heated and cooled by this system which utilizes the waste heat of its computers at the same time. The geothermal groundwater facility alone reduced the CO²-emissions by 25,000 kg per year as compared to a conventional realisation.

• The direct effects of surface sealing become noticeable everywhere by rising drinking and waste water prices as increasing flood damage. Our rainwater seeping system returns the water from roofs and paved areas to its natural circulation directly on our premises.

• Replacing lights and lamps in our warehouse in Freiburg will reduce the electricity consumption by 50%, which represents saving of about 60,000 kg CO² per year. As a further effect a much better illumination has been achieved with this refurbishment.
