Successful co-operation for 35 years:
Streck Transport-Gruppe and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics
On 1 March 1976 Streck and Hellmann layed the foundations of their co-operation. With the joint activities in the area of Osnabrück/Bielefeld a very special partnership in the logistics sector began. What started with one lorry between Osnabrück and South Baden has now increased to 21 transports scheduled daily between Switzerland, South Baden and northern Germany.

Herbert Boll (Streck Transport) |
„The co-operation between Streck Transport and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has proven extremely successful“ Mr Herbert Boll CEO of Streck Transport said. This is also the view of Klaus Hellmann director of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics: „The trustful co-operation across generations characterises the success story of our reliable partnership. Partners have become friends.“
Streck Transport and Hellman had subsidiaries in Bielefeld and there was tough competition between them. However, what started 35 years ago between the company owners Heinz Hellmann and Karl Streck on the initiative of the former managers Friedrich Ihnow (Hellmann) and Rudolf Greiner (Streck), has developed over time into an excellent and fruitful business friendship. This has been strengthened by personal relationships among the employees on all levels.
Herbert Boll states: „Streck Transport has benefited through the many creative initiatives by Hellmann". In addition we are both also partners in co-operations such as Elferkreis, DPD, System Alliance in Germany and Europe as well as SystemPlus. On the other hand we have significantly influenced and promoted the development of our mutual transport service. Being a novice I was fortunately enough to attend these talks from the very start. One of the most impressive moments I've ever experienced in the business world was when Heinz Hellmann and Karl Streck turned from critical business people to completely trusting business partners within a single meeting. 35 years are a firm base for a prosperous future".
Klaus Hellmann recalls: „My father, Heinz Hellmann, spoke with highes respect of the entrepreneur Karl Streck and his values. From the start both companies recognized the opportunities of close co-operation and cross-fertilization. We were able to learn from each other during the years of co-operation".
