Forwarding company Streck Transport wins Lufthansa Cargo Quality Award.
Jürgen Siebenrock, the freight airline's head of the Area Management Germany presented the award in Frankfurt last week.
In 2010 the medium-sized forwarding and logistics company Streck Transport impressed providing with the highest delivery quality of all forwarding companies to take part in the competition.
Quality parameters such as delivery, punctuality or care in handling were taken into account. The second prize in the annual assessment went to EMO Trans followed by Dachser.
Jürgen Siebenrock pointed out the success of this quality award initiated last year: "Maximum quality can only be achieved through cooperation between forwarder and airline. All parties involved in the forwarding chain have benefited from their joint efforts. Also this year we would continue to increase quality together and invite tenders for the Quality Awards 2011".
Alex Witzigmann, airfreight manager of Streck Transport in Freiburg, who accepted the award, was pleased with the overall win. "The award is the recognition of our continous efforts to keep the quality at the highest level. This Quality Award is just the right thing: only if all parties involved work hand in hand we can offer our customers the best performance".
Apart from the overall rating of the Quality Awards, prizes in two further categories as well as for the fourth quarter of 2010 were awarded. In the category of the big transport companies with mor than 10,000 air waybills per year the logistics provider Dachser won first place. In the category of "Best Development" Agility Logistics was awarded for the highest quality improvement of the year 2010.
